We are sailing out of the breath taking Dubai Marina Yacht Club, which offers one of the most scenic views of Dubai from the water. With over a decade of operating fishing charters in Dubai, and over two decades of fishing experience in local waters, we can confidently say that we can show you the ins and outs of fishing in Dubai. We are humbled to say that we are the only fishing charter in Dubai & the Middle East with more than 600 outstanding 5-star reviews on TridAdvisor.

Fishing in Dubai is one of the most common events to engage in, particularly for anyone who enjoys being on the water. Most of Dubai is situated along the shoreline and fishing is a major pastime and activ for both residents and tourists. Booking a fishing trip is a wonderful way to spend the day relaxing away from job stress and also the perfect way to spice up your holiday.
Seasoned anglers can get the chance to show off and improve their fishing methods or even learn new ones, while those who have embarked on their first fishing trip will never forget the trill of catching that first fish. Fishing in Dubai requires water expertise, success does not come overnight or by just having a fishing boat and the best fishing gear, but by the experience, understanding and skill of your captain to guide you along the way. The probability of continually catching fish big or small is not something that can be done overnight by anyone new to the business.
Remember that you might have family, friends, or colleagues you are looking to entertain as well as share an enjoyable experience with. At the end of the day you are investing your time and money in exchange for an experience, so be a little mindful of which company you decide to go fishing in Dubai with. Just because you grabbed the cheapest fishing deal online or the most expensive fishing charter on the market doesn't justifiably mean that you are going to have a great experience or service. If you are looking for the best fishing trip in Dubai, then the perfect recipe would be to do some research online on the company or companies you contacted, read their reviews and what other visitors had to say, speak to them and get a better understanding of what to expect while fishing with them in Dubai. You can't go wrong if you pick the company that makes you feel the most comfortable, it's your right to feel that you the best hands with a company with experience and knowledge.
There are so many different ways to catch fish in Dubai and depending on the method used we can target particular species of fish accordingly. With over 2 decades of fishing experience and knowledge of Dubai waters we are the most all rounded fishing charter in the region. The two most common techniques of fishing in Dubai waters is regular bottom fishing and trolling. We are also doing jigging, casting, and live baiting for more advanced anglers apon request.
This is the most basic and common type of fishing for beginners and people looking to relax and target small/medium size fish. This type of fishing we are using bait such as shrimps or squid and the boat is stopped and everyone gets a rod. Some of the fish you can expect to catch on this session, Emperor, Trivially, Catfish, Small Barracuda, Grouper, Sea Bream, Small Sharks (only during summer)
Tackle size: Light/medium
Targeted fish size : Small/medium
Trolling is a method of fishing where lures are dropped at the back of the boat with the boat constantly moving at a slow speed, this method is used to catch medium to big pelagic fish in Dubai waters i.e. Barracuda, King Barracudas, Grouper, Kingfish, Cobia, Queenfish, Tuna & Trivially.
Tackle size: Medium/heavy
Targeted fish size: Medium/big
Dubai was once a sail fishing destination over two decades ago, unfortunately due to all the developments on our water there are no longer any sailfish around. However we still have plenty of other pelagic fish in Dubai waters such as Barracuda, King Fish, Cobia, Queen Fish, Trivially, Tuna, Grouper and smaller sharks depending on the time of year. If you are looking to go fishing for sailfish or marlin in the UAE or nearby, we recommend you look for a fishing charter towards the east coast in Fujairah or Oman.
There are many fishing companies in Dubai still advertising sail fishing and marlin fishing either as a marketing gimmick or just because of pure lack of knowledge of Dubai waters. Due to this we have had many requests for these particular type of trips. Its pretty much the same concept as advertising a guided tour to go see mermaids. We will unfortunately not be able to accept any such requests as sail fish and marlin no longer exists in Dubai waters and we do not wish to go on a ghost hunting expedition and mislead our visitors.
Transparency and honesty to all our groups is extremely important to us as a business. This mention on our website is basically to education people about what NOT to expect while fishing in Dubai.
The biggest misconception that people have about fishing in Dubai when people contact us is that they always think they need to go ''Deep Sea Fishing in Dubai''.
Let us break it down for you; Dubai waters is relatively shallow approximately 10-15 meters inland/shoreline, and approximately 18-35 meters deeper out, depending on the fishing spots and tide elevation on the day. We do not have a deep drop, so sailing out as far as the eye can see wont make a difference to the size of fish you catch nor will it make the water deeper.
We have over 300 fishing spots in Dubai and we pick them accordingly on the day depending on the current sea conditions, type of fishing we are doing, and activity of the fishing spots at the current time of year. We are not always on the shoreline and neither are we always deep sea, we pick our spots on the day and go fishing where we think we can get the best fishing activity for our groups.
